La Veneto regional council approved the "Hunting Calendar of the 2021-2022 Season", on the proposal of the Councilor for Hunting, Cristiano Corazzari, with the positive opinion ofHigher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (Ispra). According to the new calendar, the season will open on Sunday September 19th and, it will close on Monday 31 January 2022. The calendar also provides for this year as well some pre-opening days (1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 September) for the species blackbird, jay, magpie, hooded crow and hooded crow. Wood pigeon hunting is confirmed, in the two pre-opening days of 1 and 2 September, also in consideration of the good state of the population in the regional territory.
Go ahead also for the pre-opening to the turtledove species on the days of 1 and 2 September next. The hunting calendar specifies the species allowed for collection and the relative hunting periods; the number of hunting days per week, which cannot be greater than three, with the possibility of free choice to the hunter, except for the days of Tuesday and Friday, with the integration of two days for only hunting for migratory stalking fauna in the months of October and November; the daily and seasonal maximum of game caught and the start and end time of the hunting day.
