Veneto Hunting Calendar 2010-2011, is a clash between the PDL and the League.
It is a tough battle between the League and the PDL on hunting. Yesterday the hunting association Confavi (supports the MEP Sergio Berlato) of Maria Cristina Carretta sang victory, claiming that the Northern League councilor Daniele Stival was pushed by the junta "to withdraw his proposed resolution" after the letter of protest from the Confavi because the bag for migratory game was halved compared to the previous year, the use of the domestic pigeon was made difficult, "heavy restrictions" and "differentiation of sampling were introduced not only from province to province, but also between hunting areas ".
And beware: in the event of approval of the resolution, Confavi "announces noisy and blatant protest actions under the headquarters of the Veneto regional council". With her the councilor Elena Donazzan (former councilor for hunting), who announces that she has expressed "all my perplexities to the new councilor for hunting Stival" because it changes "the approach held in the 5 years, which had guaranteed clarity and respect for all forms of hunting ».
The Donazzan was then the protagonist of a question-and-answer with the Northern League player Nicola Finco, president of the 7th commission, who accused her of late intervention and confirmed that the hunting calendar drawn up by the councilor Stival "will be submitted to the scrutiny of the Giunta on Tuesday with the changes indicated by the territory and by the Provinces ". In the evening, finally, the intervention of the big piece of the League on the hunting front: the Scaligero mayor Flavio Tosi, regional president of that Federcaccia who is in a sort of permanent duel with Confavi.
Tosi launches an invitation "to all the associations belonging to the Cavv-Regional coordination of hunting associations not to open a senseless and sterile internal competition", which would emerge from the "" Venetian "statements of those who no longer have administrative powers on the subject" (Donazzan ), because otherwise "the Cavv would no longer have reason to exist".
Tosi recalls that there was an agreement between hunting associations on points such as "the increase from 5 to 7 in the number of pre-opening days, the separation of the quantities of seasonal collection of migratory game" with respect to those of the species in derogation and the 'invitation to incorporate, as regards the periods of huntable species, the opportunities for derogation provided by the EU. Final broadside: Tosi acknowledges councilor Stival «to have finally opened a new course, given that for the first time in many years, the hunting associations have been invited to express their opinion on the regional calendar. Before, it didn't happen because decisions were often made by two people: Berlato and Donazzan ».
