Also in Salerno the Migratory Birdlife Project is launched for the census of migratory birds throughout the provincial territory; the ACMA Salerno invites hunters, ornithologists and simple enthusiasts.
With the approach of the hunting season, the work of ACMA SALERNO continues to census migratory birds throughout the provincial territory of Salerno. With the census projects carried out by the Migratory Birdlife Office of the Italian Federation of Hunting throughout Italy, even in Salerno we will try to report slavishly what the attentive and expert eyes of hunters will detect in their hunting outings during the hunting season 20011/2012.
The invitation that the ACMA Provincial Delegate of Salerno, Andrea Di Mauro, extends to all hunters, ornithologists and enthusiasts in general, residing in the Province of Salerno, is to give a strong signal to the outside world to hunt with the participation active in this National initiative.
Only with the collection of sensitive data on the migration and transit of Avifauna on our territory it will be possible to begin to counter the theses and data "Shot" by our detractors, data that lately and in particular after the latest elaborations of the Regional hunting calendars, they seem to come from another planet.
The censuses in question, also for our province, will cover seven types of surveys, in particular there will be five specific records dedicated to Quaglia, Beccaccia, Pavoncella, Colombaccio and one for Beccaccino and Frullino. Two other cards will be dedicated to several species of birds grouped as follows: one to the migratory in general, including Turdids and species in derogation, and a second will concern the aquatic avifauna.
On each of these real hunting journals it will be possible to report not only the place and the fauna object of the survey, but also the presence of erratic birds, climatic and environmental notes, in short, real snapshots of hunting days will be realized, situations that after some time they will be very useful to outline the trend of migrations throughout our national territory, and to ensure that our efforts to bring back numbers and fauna consistency in every place of our Peninsula are taken into due consideration by the Italian institutions. and European.
We invite all interested hunters to contact the ACMA secretariat of Salerno, so as to be able to receive explanations on the matter and the survey forms in relation to the areas frequented.
