Update on hunting lake in the Marche Region: the birth and growth of chicks thanks to the ecological work of the hunters who create and keep them wetlands. We can admire in the video the beauty of the young knights born in the hunting lake whose nesting we had documented in the video a few weeks ago. The lake also has the function of feeding the young riders that in the period of growth they need insects for the diet rich in proteins necessary in this period.
The commitment of hunters to keep water in the reproductive period allows the reproduction of this species, in addition to others such as coots and moorhens. A success extended to hundreds of other wetlands created and managed by hunters who allow it throughout Italy the stop and reproduction of aquatic avifauna and they are also a water resource for terrestrial species, often in areas that without this work would be cultivated fields or built-up areas. Facts and not words: hunters are the protagonists of the nature conservation. A truth to spread and share! (source: FIDC).
