The provincial section of Bergamo of Italian Federation of Hunting has decided to clarify an issue that has been affecting hunters for some time and those who practice skeet shooting. We are talking about licenses, authorizations and taxes. As explained by the hunting association, the Ministry of the Interior clarified the doubts with a circular of last May: the theme is that of the payment or not of the government grant tax when not using the hunting license.
This document is valid, even when hunting is not practiced, to transport and purchase weapons and ammunition by paying the annual fee (168 plus € 5,16 to be exact). The Ministry confirmed that going hunting without paying the tax does not trigger the criminal offense, but only one administrative. Until last year, then, it was not possible to have the hunting license and the port for skeet shooting at the same time.
Now it is possible hold the two titles at the same time. Furthermore, the hunting license can be used to practice skeet shooting, therefore as a substitute document. According to Federcaccia Bergamo we must speak of a "bureaucratic madness". President Lorenzo Bertacchi he believes that the concession fee refers only to hunting, while there is no concession for skeet shooting and target shooting. The novelty will entail a more complex job for the Police Headquarters, considered useless by Bertacchi himself.
