The Councilor of the Marche Region, Adriano Cardogna, threatens a campaign for the abolition of hunting.
Cardogna begins with an ultimatum, "If I do not have positive signs, I will be forced to start, like Verdi delle Marche, a battle for the abolition of hunting, perhaps starting from article 842 of the Civil Code which allows only hunters to enter in private property without the rightful owner being able to oppose ". The councilor refers to the changes he proposed for the Regional Law which, however, were rejected first in the Commission and then in the council chamber.
Cardogna continues, "These were changes for the benefit of the Marche community dictated solely by common sense and which could represent a moment of conciliation between the hunting world, farmers and ordinary citizens (such as increasing the hunting distance from accommodation facilities such as agritourism and Environmental Education Centers or from roads for safety reasons) ".
The Council of Ministers challenged the new law after four months of approval, in particular two articles should be amended but instead of discussing the changes to the articles in question, a new bill is being discussed composed of eleven articles and on which 44 amendments and 3 sub-amendments were tabled.
The councilor continues "From the polls it appears that 85% of Italians are against hunting, if the political representatives will persist in not making choices in favor of the majority of citizens, I will be forced into a battle against hunting".
Finally Cardogna concludes, “Recently I thought it appropriate to send a note to Councilor Petrini to invite him to intervene on the problem of hunting on mountain passes, it is time for the council to identify them to protect migratory birds that pass through our region to reach the wintering areas ”.
