Hunting in derogation. From Saturday 7 November, in the 184 Ligurian municipalities where olive growing is practiced, it will again be possible to hunt canceled. The possibility of bringing it down by way of derogation will end on December 15th. The decision was taken by the regional council, which accepted the findings of the TAR.

The maximum withdrawal of the animals remains unchanged at 11 thousand units, as indicated by Ispra, but it is expected that a smaller number will be killed.
"We care about the protection of the agricultural production of our territory - underlines the commissioner Mai - in this case the olive oil particularly threatened by the starling which in this period is a real scourge not only for olives, but also other crops".

"
On the proposal of the Councilor for Agriculture, Development of the hinterland and rural areas, the Council of the Liguria Region resolved:
1. to authorize the withdrawal in derogation of the transfer to protect the areas in which there are olive groves with pending fruit, equipped with bloodless dissuasive systems or in which there are scattered productive vegetational nuclei, at the times and days established by the regional hunting calendar for the hunting season 2015/2016 exclusively with the fixed or temporary posting system without the use of live calls, from 4 November to 15 December 2015, in the territories of the municipalities (referred to in the olive oil card of the Liguria Region retained in the acts of the competent regional structure) , indicated in the list attached to this deed of which it forms an integral and necessary part;
2. to approve the document called "Request for sampling in derogation for the Sturnus vulgaris species" held in the records of the competent regional structure;
3. to revoke the DGR n. 846 of 30/07/2015, replacing the regime for the withdrawal in derogation of the transfer type provided for by the same and by the executive decree no. 2784 of 30/09/2015 with that carried by this deed, which incorporates the indications contained in the TAR decree no. 262 of 29/10/2015, without prejudice to the effects produced by the same;
4. to establish that the total number of felling animals cannot exceed the 11.000 units indicated by ISPRA;
5. to authorize the withdrawal by way of derogation only the 1819 hunters who by 21 September 2015 have submitted a specific request to the Liguria Region, also through trade associations, at the regional territorial branches in charge of the Mountain and Wild Fauna Policies Sector, or at the Territorial Areas of Hunting (ATC) or Alpine Districts (CA). These subjects must be registered in the Territorial Hunting Area of registered residence;
6. to establish that the maximum seasonal number of animals that can be taken for a single hunter is six animals, even those that can be taken in a single day; (continues)
