Caccia: Statement by Hon. Nicodemo Oliverio, PD group leader in the Agriculture Committee of the Chamber, and Marco Ciarafoni, Head of Biodiversity and Faunistic Policies of the PD.
The right wants to commodify wildlife and privatize hunting. It intends to achieve the objective through a bill (first signatory the Hon. Catanoso) deposited in the Chamber to repeal article 842 of the civil code which allows the entry of hunters, under certain and rigorous conditions, into private funds.
It is instrumental to use the issue of safety, as the parliamentarians of the majority and the government do through the initiative of Minister Brambilla, to strike the current legislation, whose important peculiarity is to preserve a strong publicistic system on wildlife conservation and regulation. hunting, by virtue of the principle of fauna unavailable heritage of the State and of the wildlife-hunting programming of which article 842 is an integral part.
Moreover, the owner of a land can already request to exclude his land from hunting planning.
Rather, these parliamentarians should be more concerned with the proposals for deregulation of hunting made by their party colleagues, whose party game has now been totally exposed.
The country needs anything but to be governed by shaking extremist choices on alternate days.
