Hunting: the Province of Potenza has published the Provincial Wildlife Hunting Plan proposal for the management of wildlife and hunting activities.
The proposal for the Provincial Wildlife Hunting Plan (Pfvp) has been published on the institutional website of the Province of Potenza, in the "News" section, which represents the tool through which the Authority defines the planning and programming lines of the territory for a proper management of wildlife and hunting. The document is therefore available for consultation by local administrators, in order to incorporate any observations and guarantee a broad participation and transparency. In the coming weeks, the proposed Plan will be examined in depth by the competent council commission of the Province of Potenza, to then be taken to the Provincial Council for its approval and then sent to the Basilicata Region for subsequent fulfillment. “With the Provincial Hunting Wildlife Plan - explained the councilor for Productive Activities Nicola Figliuolo - the Province identifies the objectives of the wildlife policy, directs and plans the management interventions necessary to achieve these objectives and provides for the differentiated destination of the territory. The wildlife hunting plan is preceded by an updated framework of cognitive elements on the basis of which the wildlife planning is coherently derived ".
The five-year document is divided into homogeneous areas. It includes the identification of institutes and areas intended for the protection of wildlife, of proposals for the delimitation of the Territorial Areas of Hunting (ATC), of areas for training, training and competitions of hunting dogs, of privately run institutions and public centers for the reproduction of wild fauna in the natural state, of criteria for determining the compensation in favor of the owners or tenants of rustic funds for the damage caused by wildlife to agricultural production and works and criteria for the payment of incentives in favor of the owners or tenants of rustic funds who commit themselves to the protection and restoration of natural habitats and the increase of wildlife.
