Hunting - The group Track Dog Conductors del FVG was established in 2009 thanks to a group of passionate Hunters-Conductors who, with the aim of promoting and making known the recovery of injured game, met and gave birth to this partnership. At its birth, the group consisted of 16 members and in Friuli Venezia Giulia it was the first group recognized at the regional level. Various events, work trials and small conferences were organized. The conductors of the group have participated in various exhibitions and tests to enable their auxiliaries and thus have the opportunity to operate in the field. Over the years, due to various vicissitudes, the group has had a period of decline, leaving out many aspects, especially at the organizational level. This is exactly how in December 2016, with the new Board of Directors and the new president Nicholas Rotaris, the group has embarked on a new path trying to give a new image to this partnership that for some time had lost some stimuli, initiatives and above all the desire to team up to promote, plan and encourage its business.
First of all, the meetings of the members of the group are resumed on a regular basis. It was decided to make a restyling of the logo, while trying to keep the emblem of the group or the track dog. To publicize the group and its work, the official uniforms and intervention shirts have been designed for the authorized conductors of the group. While for the supporting members, t-shirts with the group's logo have been designed. Furthermore, after a few years of inactivity it was decided to reorganize an OPEN work trial for track dogs for the first half of 2018 in Carnia, first of all to give the possibility to many handlers to enable their auxiliaries and secondly to continue a tradition that it started years ago with the constitution of the group itself. The main intent of the whole group is to succeed through advertising, field work and small conferences, to promote and make known the importance of the use of the track dog and its use both to the hunting world and to the simple citizen. Unfortunately, even today, although the recovery activity is well known and advertised in all the sector magazines, there is a great reluctance to contact enabled recuperators.
For this reason, the group's activities are designed to raise awareness and incentivize hunters as much as possible to always request the intervention of the track dog if the result of the shot was apparently wrong, that the public security organs in case of road investments, with the aim of recovering as much as possible the heads of ungulates which unfortunately would be lost thus wasting everyone's patrimony. Not being able to operate as in other much more well-structured realities and with years of experience behind them such as emergency centers and professional hunter-handlers, the group made up of enthusiasts who dedicate their time to this activity, in its small way of operate has created a memorandum to be distributed to hunters with a UNIQUE call number and other useful numbers to contact 24 hours a day, in order to be able to coordinate the exit and always have a conductor ready to leave in the shortest possible time. case of need. At the moment it is possible to have good coverage throughout the week for the entire hunting period.
In addition to some occasional intervention in the lower Friuli, the group operates a large part in the mountainous area of upper Friuli, especially in Carnia. At the moment the FVG Track Dog Handlers group is made up of 13 Driver Members, all duly qualified. Of these, 9 crews are operating on the territory with their auxiliaries (4 Hanoverians e 5 Bavarians) also qualified in recognized tests. One of the prerogatives to be members in all respects of the group, desired by the new President, is precisely to have within the association an enabled and recognized binomial to be able to intervene in the territory. We do a big good luck to the new group, aware of the moral duty of the recovery of wounded leaders.
