There are the castles, there are the long pastures that unwind on soft and green hills, and then legends that tell of ghosts and knights, cold winters and hot summers, excellent whiskey, landscapes of disarming beauty, and above all a lot of game: wood pigeons, geese, pheasants, partridges, woodcocks, white hares and red hares for every hunter's desire.
Nothing is left to chance and among the 20 Montefeltro reserves available you can choose the hunt that suits you best or experiment with new ones. There is a small corner of Scotland that Montefeltro has transformed into a hunter's paradise.
Hunting in the Scottish Montefeltro reserves : all the details.
The landscape that will be the backdrop for your hunting days is rich and varied, beautiful even just to look at, a unique hunting location. In the Montefeltro reserves, crops are interspersed with pastures, and often surprisingly stretches of ancient and silent forests appear. The feeling is always the same: nature in Scotland seems to speak, and you are ready to listen.
Nothing better than these territories of excellence for the wood pigeons that dive into the wheat and barley stubble and the rapeseed plantations, for the hares that surprisingly emerge from everywhere or for the grouses that make their whirring sound on the wide hills covered with heather. The game here is authentic and the contrast between wild hunting environments and an exclusive atmosphere, like a country gentleman leaves pleasantly amazed.
There are at least 5 types of hunting you can indulge in:
- between March and April, July and August you can devote yourself to hunting wood pigeons in the shed;
- from October to January you can try your hand at hunting geese and ducks in the shed;
- from October to December the mixed hunting of the plains on the hunt or on driven hunt is open (pheasants, partridges, red hares, woodcocks);
- the mixed mountain hunt (white hares and grouse) is available from October to December;
- between August and November there is also the possibility of grouse hunting with dogs.

A small note deserves weapons, which when it comes to hunting trips are certainly not a detail. You can choose to bring your own rifle (click here for all the details) or choose to rent a gun on the spot.

We have excellent spearguns from prestigious brands: Benelli Comfort, M1 and Beccaccia models and Franchi Affinity and Feeling models, just to name a few. The rental of guns on site is especially recommended if you choose to reach Scotland with low cost flights from Italy, since most of these do not include the transport of weapons.
Cherry on the cake
You have already heard that Perthshire's hilly landscapes are some of the most beautiful in Scotland. What you don't know is that once you arrive in Edinburgh or Glasgow you will be transferred to a great hotel close to the hunting grounds with rooms with every comfort.
Abundant English breakfasts and refined whiskey, naturally Scottish, will accompany all your hunting stories: on the other hand, the beautiful days that await those who choose to treat themselves to a holiday in Scotland, organized by Montefeltro tour operator, deserve to be told .
