Ars Venandi and Federcaccia organize the “Giacomo Rosini” literary competition for the best hunting stories.
Promoted and organized by the Ars Venandi Club in collaboration with the Italian Federation of Hunting, the Giacomo Rosini Award is back, a Literary Competition for hunting tales open to authors of all languages of the Alps.
"The hunting exercise - writes the President of Ars Venandi, Osvaldo Dongilli - it constitutes one of the traditional activities, shared and experienced by the Alpine populations through the same experiences; in the mountains, as Mario Rigoni Stern teaches, hunters and shepherds know no boundaries and know how to communicate emotions and feelings above language barriers.
The events of women and men in the mountains, their relationship with the territory, animals and hunting are the themes on which participants are asked to express themselves in a comparison between different mother tongues.
The competition, by its natural vocation, wants to be an instrument of dialogue and not of competition, although with due recognition for the most significant stories and for literary talent, in fact, three stories will be awarded equally.
The best gratification for the participants will be the publication of the winning and recommended stories in a single multilingual volume that will become the tangible testimony of an original literary event with a European dimension.".
The Award ceremony will take place in Riva del Garda on 23 March 2013 at 18.00 pm at the Exhibition Center and the deadline for the presentation of the stories is set for 31 January 2013.All the procedures for participation are contained in the attached Competition Notice and visible on the Arsvenandi.it website.
