Hunting in derogation: the Province of Terni has authorized the hunting levy in derogation of the transfer from 15 August 2012 to prevent damage to crops.
From next 15 August on the territory of the province of Terni it will be possible to hunt by way of derogation the starling as provided by a special order of the provincial hunting department in order to contain the number of populations of this species of birds in the area and thus limit the damage to crops. in particular olive groves and vineyards.
Each operator can pick up a maximum of 20 garments per day and no more than 50.000 garments can be killed overall in the period allowed for picking. For the vineyards the activity is allowed from 15th to 31st August from sunrise to sunset and from 1st September to 15th October according to the Hunting Calendar; for the olive groves the period will instead be from September 15th to December 15th.
The subjects authorized to withdraw in derogation are the Provincial Police, the volunteer hunting surveillance agents, the owners or conductors of funds, the nominative persons identified in the Provincial context.
The control over the regular carrying out of the collection activities will be entrusted to the Provincial Police who will deploy their agents throughout the territory to supervise the operations and monitor any violations of the rules, regulations and provisions in force.
