The exercise of the hunting activity according to the provisions of the national legislation 157/92 can be carried out following the achievement of the license for the port of shotgun for hunting use, attestation that obtains after having taken and passed the qualifying examination for hunting.
This exam covers disciplines related to:
- Hunting regulations
- Regulations for the protection of fauna and the environment
- Knowledge of fauna and some notions of zoology
- Wildlife recognition
- Safe use, disassembly and use of firearms
- First aid items
- Elements of fire fighting
- Homeotherm wildlife breeding elements
To obtain access to the exam, the candidate must submit an application with stamp duty (Euro 14,62) to the President of the Province and prepare the following documents:
- Certificate of residence
- Medical certificate of psycho-physical fitness to carry arms issued by the competent ASL or other designated health body such as military doctors or members of the State Police. The certificate must not have an earlier date than three months.
The exam is taken before a Commission appointed by the Provincial Administration and it is necessary to:
- Positively take a written quiz test
- Successfully sit an oral test with an interview with the members of the examining commission
The candidate who does not pass the exam will always be able to re-submit the application and repeat the exam later
