The third edition of the Bird Festival will take place in Brembate di Sopra, in the province of Bergamo, next Sunday 12 May 2013.
The appointment with the Bird Festival is back in Brembate di Sopra. The third edition of this now traditional event organized by the local section of the Lombard Hunters Association will be held on Sunday 12 May. On the occasion of the appointment, the interregional competition Amov 2013 of singing of the wood birds: song thrush, redwing, tordina, blackbird, lark, finch and goldfinch, now in its second year, will be unmissable.
The program of the initiative foresees the opening of registrations at 5. The race will begin at 5.30 and will end at 10.15 with the awards ceremony and the assignment of the gold medal trophy g. 5 in memory of Amedeo Assolari, while at 11 the festival will close. The park of the Brembate di Sopra rest home will host the event. But the activities organized for this day do not end there: the photographic exhibition entitled "Flora and fauna of the Orobie pre-Alps" will be inaugurated in the theater room of the retirement home, focusing on the beauties of the area, and the exhibition of wood pigeons by of the Brescia section of the Italian wood pigeon club.
The Mayor Diego Locatelli, who will give his welcome message to those present, and various experts in hunting will speak. Even the afternoon will be dedicated to being together in the midst of nature, with the display of poultry animals in the local educational farm and the awarding of the municipal trophy. A refreshment area will also be set up inside the premises where it will be possible to book lunch. Stalls and inflatables will be the ideal setting for this day to spend in company, ideal for families. In case of bad weather, it will be postponed to the following weekend.
