The Olympic cards up for grabs
The Italian Trap Team of National Technical Director Marco Conti landed late yesterday evening in Doha (QAT) where the ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship will begin on Saturday 20 April, which is the last event organized by the International Shooting Sports Federation with Olympic Cards for Paris 2024 up for grabs. In reality, there will still be an opportunity to obtain the Five Circle Passes , or the European Championship scheduled in Lonato del Garda from 15 to 26 May, but will only be valid for the Nations of the Old Continent.
Who will be lined up on the platform
With all the Passes already safely in the chest, the Italian Olympic Fossa will compete only for the medals up for grabs and to carry out a further test on the preparation of our shooters. Conti will line up on the platform Mauro De Filippis (Fiamme Oro) of Taranto, Massimo Fabbrizi (Carabinieri) of Monteprandone (AP) and Giovanni Pellielo (Fiamme Azzurre) of Vercelli for the men's team and Jessica Rossi (Fiamme Oro) of Crevalcore (BO) and Maria Lucia Palmitessa (Fiamme Oro) from Monopoli (BA) for the women's event. Their first commitment will be with the Official Training on Saturday 20th April, then the actual competition will begin with 50 targets per day on Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd April and with the last 25 targets and the finals scheduled for Tuesday 23rd April.
Blue Team
A different story, however, for the Italian Skeet Team of National Technical Director Andrea Benelli, leaving for Doha on Monday 22 April and on the stage from Thursday 25 April for Official Training, whose account with Olympic qualification is still open. In the pockets of the Tuscan coach there are the two women's Olympic cards won by Diana Bacosi and Martina Bartolomei and the men's one won by Luigi Agostino Logge, but one is still missing for the men. In the race there will be Tammaro Cassandro (Carabinieri) from Capua (CE), Luigi Agostino Lodde (Army) from Ozieri (SS) and Gabriele Rossetti (Fiamme Oro) from Ponte Buggianese (PT). In the women's category, Diana Bacosi (Army) from Cetona (SI), Martina Bartolomei (Air Force) from Laterina (AR) and Simona Scocchetti (Army) from Tarquinia (VT) will compete (source: FITAV).
