Bow Hunting Club and URCA Archers Group (Regional Union of Hunters of the Apennines) have promoted an information day to deepen the use of the treestand in bow hunting. The day was titled "A day on the tree" and will take place on 18-19 or 25-26 March, with the exact location and date that will be chosen and communicated once the various requests have been evaluated.
Participants will benefit from practical and theoretical notions. First of all, it will be explained how to choose the location for this hunting activity, in particular by evaluating the alert area, the signs of any presences and displacements, without forgetting the evaluation of lights and winds and the references for shooting. Participants will know in detail the three types of treestand, viz "Classic", "Climber" and "With the staircase", as well as accessories useful in this type of hunting.
Specifically, bow hunting requires the use of ladders, hooks, piles, lanyards and more. As regards the practical aspect, then, importance will be given to the choice of the tree, the inclination of the ground, respect for the plant and visibility from the ground. The setting up of the stakeout and the actual shooting will be two other aspects to be examined. For more information you can contact the e-mail address [email protected].
