Posts on social media by the Sardinian hunters which denounce an alarming situation to say the least. More and more dogs used in the wild boar hunting trips have been injured or torn, a sign that the ungulates have become aggressive and dangerous. The toll is dramatic, given that we are talking about dozens of dead and injured dogs. A few days ago Marco Efisio Pisanu, number one of Caccia Pesca Ambiente Sardegna, has collected several complaints and is trying to understand how many other identical cases are on the island.
Since that time the photos published by hunters have multiplied and showing dogs bleeding and torn apart. There is also no shortage of videos, not recommended for the most sensitive audience for strong content. Meanwhile, the V Commission of the Sardinia Region was convened for Wednesday 29 November 2017.
The hunting associations will be received at the farmers' hearing to talk about the problems of hunting in Sardinian territory: therefore it is easy to assume that the greater aggressiveness of wild boars may be one of the topics to be explored here.
