Fernanda Cecchini, councilor for hunting of the Umbria Region, he recalled how in the regional territory the hunting season will respect what is foreseen by the calendar, with the pre-opening scheduled for the days of Saturday and Sunday 2 3 September. In particular, in both cases there will be a reduced timetable, specifically up to 15 pm. The confirmation of the days was there, even if at the same time the requests and concerns of each party on the wildlife and the drought that is characterizing our country.
In Umbria, however, no highly critical phenomena were detected from this point of view. The wooded hectares affected by the fires were approx 600 out of a national total which is close to 380 thousand. In addition, the Umbrian hunting calendar for the 2017-2018 season includes a ban on hunting for 10 years in the areas of the woods where fires have occurred. The early closure is therefore a sign of respect for the environment and wildlife according to Cecchini. By the way, it should not be forgotten that On Sunday 3 September the hunt will start at 6:15 am and finish at 13 pm as established by the calendar.
