The provincial sections of Bareggio, Cisliano and San Pietro all'Olmo (hamlet of Cornaredo) of the Italian Federation of Hunting they arranged for Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February the third edition of the Enrico Boniotti Memorial trophy, a skeet shooting event that will take place at the TAV of Arluno (province of Milan). The competition involves shooting on 25 targets with double: the opening of the registrations has been set for 13:30 on February 27, while they will close at 16:30 the following day. The prizes will be guaranteed up to 28th place, there will also be different categories in the race. First of all, the first barrage will be reserved for shooters and hunters who are registered in the three organizing sections of the event.
The second barrage will be reserved for the excellent shooters (1st, 2nd and 3rd) of the FITAV and FIDASC categories. In this second case, the winner will receive fifteen kilos of oil and nine bottles of Campari as a prize: the second will receive ten kilos of oil and three bottles. There will be no shortage of awards related to the special shooting with compressed air rifle, with the first five finishers who will be able to obtain Grana Padano, bottles of wine and Campari. Another category in the competition is that of third category FITAV and FIDASC shooters and hunters, without forgetting non-registered hunters, the Lady and Junior category.
The first edition of this Memorial dates back to 2014: it took place in May at the Shooting range "Il Campanile", in the locality of Mesero, with a test of a hunting course on the platform. The second edition took place in 2015, specifically on 7 and 8 March, and it was an opportunity to make the Arluno TAV debut as a competition field. Enrico Boniotti, after whom the trophy is named, was president of the San Martino della Federcaccia section, an association that is now about to turn half a century old.
Furthermore, the surname Boniotti suggests Claudio, Italian champion in volleyball shooting in 2007 and member of this same section: another victory in 2005 (in the regional ranking) had led the association to touch the possibility of a prestigious candidacy for the Olympics. According to the regulation currently in force, the double at the shooting of this Memorial requires that two targets are thrown from one or two different machines, with the departure of the first being commanded by the shooter, while the second is commanded by the shooting on the first target and launched in a time ranging from 0 to 3 seconds (manual) or half a second (command from the control unit).
