Federcaccia Bergamo organizes two sessions for companion courses for the selective collection of ungulates chamois, roe deer, red deer, wild boar, fallow deer and mouflon in Bergamo and Clusone. Subscribers will be divided between the two locations based on the municipality of residence: the new regional regulations that came into force with the DGA Decree 9139/2019 provide that the qualification as a companion is issued only for the species for which the candidate is in possession of the qualification to selective withdrawal. The course and the exam cover all huntable ungulates and all hunters can participate, regardless of the species for which they have obtained the qualification for selection hunting. The qualification will be issued for all species, but the exercise of the activity of companion is allowed only for the species for which the hunter is authorized to select.
The provincial headquarters of Federcaccia, in via Serassi 13 in Bergamo will host the lessons on Tuesday 4 and 11 February at 19,30 pm, Saturday 15 February from 9 with the practical day and simulation. In Clusone, on the other hand, the headquarters of the Cac will be Borlezza Valley in via Matteotti 11 to host the course on Thursday 13 and 20 February at 19,30 pm, on Saturday 22 February from 9 the practical day and simulation.
The topics covered, based on the DGA Decree 9139/2019, will be: the figure of the companion (tasks and responsibilities); national and regional legislative framework and provincial regulations, concerning the wildlife-hunting management of ungulates; hunting behavior and ethics; systematics, morphology, eco-ethology, distribution and status of Italian ungulate species; ecosystem, habitat, food chains, population structure and dynamics, limiting factors, annual useful increase, carrying capacity of the environment, biotic and agroforestry density; withdrawals: recognition in kind of age groups, signs of presence; sampling techniques: appearance and search, organization of sampling, roof terraces and stalking on the ground and their accommodation; reactions to the shot, evaluation and verification of the effects of the shot; recovery of wounded items; treatment of culled animals (drafting of culling sheets, biometric measurements, trophy evaluation); health aspects (hints): treatment of remains and sanitary rules, samples and organs and tissues for biological and sanitary investigations; weapons and ammunition: optical instruments, safety regulations, ballistics; recognition of sex and age classes of the different species in nature; simulation of all the operations that the escort must perform during hunting trips.
They are received at the Federcaccia Bergamo office by Wednesday 29 January 2020: at the end of the same, each participant will be informed of the location in which the course will take place based on the municipality of residence: for the federcacciatori the registration price is 35 euros for the other 50 euros with payment at the first lesson. As usual Federcaccia stands out for the profile of the speakers who will be, Dr. Antonella Labate, biologist and wildlife researcher of Federcaccia Lombardia; Pierangelo Duci, member of the Bergamo examination commission for the issuing of qualifications relating to the wildlife-hunting management of ungulates; dr.
