The provincial section of Brescia of Italian Federation of Hunting chose to organize a course for track dog handlers which will take place next October. The lessons were prepared together with the Track Dog Conductors Group and will take place at the headquarters of the same hunting association, to be precise in the San Filippo Center in Via Luigi Bazoli 10 (precisely in Brescia).
For the federcacciatori the participation fee will be 150 euros, while for those who are not members it will be 170 euros. This money includes teaching material and hours of frontal lessons with expert teachers, without forgetting the lesson in the field with a specific trace test. The recovery of ungulates that have been injured by the handlers is essential for the conservation and management of wild populations.
The courses that are usually organized to obtain such a qualification provide for the deepening of the biology, ecology and anatomy of ungulate species. Furthermore, the handlers must be prepared on the characteristics of the various dog breeds and on the notions of terminal ballistics, in addition to the reaction to the body of the wild. The practical exercise will serve to evaluate the knowledge of these topics in a practical way.
