Over 70 agricultural entrepreneurs a Cuneo attended the first lesson of the course promoted by Coldiretti, the first in this Piedmontese province, aimed at training the owners or holders of funds who intend to participate in the activities of containment of wild boars. An announced success, given the uncontrolled spread of wild boars in our territory, incompatible with normal agricultural activity as well as, too often, dangerous for the safety of people.
The course, mandatory for those who do not have the exemption requirements, provides the theoretical, technical and biological knowledge necessary to effectively implement the operations envisaged by the Provincial Wildlife Control Plan. “The day after the launch of the Provincial plan, which we followed closely to implement the new regional provisions, including the possibility for the owners and tenants of the funds to intervene directly in the containment of wild boars - comments the Confederal Delegate of Coldiretti Cuneo Roberto Moncalvo - our organization immediately took action to organize the training activity necessary to implement the provisions of the Plan in practice".
Attending the course and passing the final exam enable you to use cages and enclosures for capturing wild boars and are a prerequisite for accessing the practical courses that the Province will organize on 3 July in Cuneo and 4 July in verduno (at the choice of the participants in one or the other location) to authorize farmers for direct slaughter.
