The sections of Foligno e Spoleto (province of Perugia) ofArch Hunting they organized in collaboration with i Beccacciai of Italy a training course for woodcock monitors, a series of lessons that comply with the provisions of the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research. The course will take place Saturday February 18 2017 at the headquarters of the hunting association at Parco Hoffman in Foligno. Another important collaboration will be that of the Regional Wildlife Observatory.
The goal will be to train gods in a specific and adequate way experienced hunters, to be entrusted with research and monitoring tasks in the coming months. In particular, the monitors will be called to intervene in periods and in suitable areas that will be specifically designated by the Umbria Region. The overall duration will be nine hours, complete with a final exam that will allow you to receive the qualification to exercise the activity.
The teacher will be Paolo Pennacchini, president of the FANBPO (Federation of National Associations of Woodcockers of the Western Palearctic). It will start at 9 with the registration of the participants, while the course will be activated at 9:30: topics related to the biology, ethology and phenology of migration will be studied in depth. After the lunch break there will be space for monitoring techniques, the age and gender recognition laboratory.
