Paul Viezzi, president of the regional section of Friuli Venezia Giulia of Italian Federation of Hunting, intervened after receiving many requests regarding the regional hunting calendar. The new year has just begun and there have been several doubts about the timing of closure of the thrush, cesena and woodcock sampling. There was some information provided that was not true, so clarification was required.
Federcaccia Friuli has confirmed that the hunting of the three species will continue in the regional territory as foreseen by the 2016-2017 calendar, that is to say until the next 31 January. However, it must be said that there is the possibility that the Regional Council adopts special measures to formalize the early closure of these activities.
Viezzi himself, however, underlined how this hypothesis is remote, for this year it should not be issued no such measure. The hunting of the three species is also characterizing the main discussions in other regions, as happened in Abruzzo to the indomania of the sentence of the State Council which differentiated the closing dates.
