A Gaian, fraction of the municipality of Fisciano (province of Salerno), the wait is about to return Festival of Hazelnut and Wild Boar. The event is now in its XNUMXth edition and will take place for three consecutive days, from 30 August to 1 September. You will be able to taste the typical dishes of this area of Cilento, with wild boar meat as the host. One of the main recipes is that of Trescito stew, a recipe that has been handed down for centuries.
What is it about? The wild boar meat is marinated in wine, to be then browned and cooked together with various aromas. The spices must obviously not cover the flavor of the game and the final stew is then served in a tasty sandwich. Very interesting are also the wild boar ribs, golden and spicy at the right point, without forgetting the sandwich with sausage and salad, prepared with a very ancient technique, the one that involves cooking with charcoal.
