The group leaders in Regional Council of Liguria Lega Nord, Forza Italia, Lista Toti, Fratelli d'Italia and Liguria Popolare (the center-right majority) did not like the transformation of the Portofino park from regional and national. According to these politicians, in fact, the Region itself will no longer be taken into consideration as regards the choices on the territory and above all on hunting. For this reason it is necessary to reduce the boundaries to have the management of hunting activities, at least within the contiguous areas.
An agenda of the same center is about to engage the governor Giovanni Toti and the Democratic Party has opposed it with great firmness. Toti is called upon to clearly redefine the contiguous areas, with a regulation that immediately takes into consideration hunting and fishing.
According to proponents of the transformation of the park from regional to national, the change serves a relieve the budget of the Liguria Region in the expenditure chapter. The scenario that the majority hopes, however, is that Toti bring the question to the State-Regions Conference for an even more in-depth debate.
