Paladins of the Territory
The Federcaccia Section of Montelupone and the Ekoclub section of Macerata, in collaboration with the Municipality of Montelupone, organized an environmental day on Saturday 13 April dedicated to the restoration and cleaning of rural sources present in the territory of the municipality, in the context of the Fondazione Una project "Operazione Paladini del Territorio -Restoration of green areas”. The numerous participants met at the Camper Area and after the ritual photo, divided into various groups, they took action to clean up the various sources: Fonte Rufico', Fonte Scodella, Fonte Fontanella, Fonte Rosa, Fonte Valle, Fonte Pinturella, Fonte Vecchia, Fonte Morina, Fonte Trocchetto, Fonte Moriconi, Fonte Bagno.
A unique historical value
These sources have a historical cultural value as they have been used for years by farmers to water the livestock of the numerous stables in the area, as well as to draw water for use in rural houses as there was no aqueduct service; today they are indispensable in order to create a clean and safe water resource for all the wildlife present, especially in these increasingly drier summers.

The environmental day was attended by the Mayor of Montelupone Rolando Pecora, the Deputy Mayor Elisei Giordano, the Provincial President of Federcaccia Nazzareno Galassi, the President of Ekoclub Macerata Sofia Bara, the Deputy Provincial Coordinator of the Federcaccia Volunteer Hunting Guards Gianfraco Calvigioni, the Presidents of the Federcaccia Municipal Sections from Montecosaro, Pollenza, Recanati respectively Alessandro Malaisi, Tonino Cammertoni and Edoardo Nina.
