Montoggio, a small town in the province of Genoa, is ready to welcome the important Festival of the Hunters which will take place on 21, 22 and 23 June next. In about two weeks, the Ligurian town will host the event for the first time after the various editions set up in Casella. As he explained Adriano Zanni, number one of the regional Federcaccia of Liguria: "It will be three days in which we will meet in the green area of the Municipality of Montoggio, with various initiatives, dog shows, shooting competitions, attractions for children, fishing competitions, over 120 exhibition stands, gastronomy and dance evenings.
An initiative obviously open to all, also to make it clear that hunting is anyway respectful of animals and the environment. We are at the sixteenth edition and it is no small thing ”. The Pro Loco underlined the importance of the festival as a promotion of the territory of Montoggio. Among the various initiatives scheduled there are obviously the gastronomic ones.
In fact, during the Festa dei Cacciatori, it will be possible taste ravioli, canestrelli (including chestnuts), the excellent local bread and local rose-based products, without forgetting the milk obtained from the Cabannina breed. All that remains is to wait for the few days that remain before discovering the fascinating Genoese village.
