Great participation
At the beginning of last March, the FIdC of San Donà di Piave (VE) held the first event of the year promoting the ecological day, the association's objective also being to protect the interests of citizens and hunters. The event was organized with the coordination of the Section President Andrea Tamai and the patronage of the Municipality of San Donà di Piave. With the participation of around thirty people, the day opened at 7am, dividing the tasks among the various people present, who, once they had received bib, gloves and bags for waste collection starting from the car park located near the San Donà di Piave they entered the park.
Waste collection
After a couple of hours, all the participants found themselves in the parking lot with bags full of all kinds of waste. The event was also noticed by the citizens as on the first Sunday of the month the Municipality organizes the flag raising with the fanfare of the Bersaglieri and the various associations of the Army Corps. Once the collection activity was finished, the waste was placed in the rubbish bins which will be sent to the landfill.
Respect for the territory
This event was also an inspiration for the younger participants, to whom the association hopes to have conveyed the value of respect for the territory. Once the waste collection and sorting activity was completed, the participants concluded the morning with a small refreshment offered by the association. Also speaking at the event were the President of the Council of the Municipality of San Donà di Piave Massimiliano Rizzello and the provincial President of the FIdC Costante Borin (source: FIDC).
