THETerritorial hunting area of Sulmona (province of L'Aquila) has updated the collection plan for rock partridges. As was expected from the 2017-2018 hunting calendar for the Abruzzo Region, in fact, they can be cut down 43 specimens in the three management districts. During the day yesterday, Monday 6 November 2017, the withdrawals concerned 20 rock partridges, therefore, we are approaching half of the objectives set by the plan.
The greatest number of culls was recorded in "Monte Greco" District (14 rock partridges), while the data of the other two districts are lower, given that we are talking about 4 animals collected in Terratte and another 2 in Rocca Pia Pietra Maggiore. Eight rock partridges turned out to be adults, while the other 12 are young people of the year. The hunters are called in this case to send a clear photo of the right wing well extended in order to highlight the tips of the primary flight feathers.
The total specimens to be hunted are divided as follows: in the “Rocca Pia” District (14) 10 animals can be killed, in the “Monte Greco” (16) it is possible to take 20, while in the “Terratte” District it is possible to kill 13 rock partridges. In the districts "Monte Calvario" (15) and "Monte Prezza" (18), on the contrary, this hunt is closed and therefore not allowed.
