The provincial sections of Pistoia ofNational Free Hunting Association e Arch Hunting they examined the question presented by the regional councilor of Tuscany Marco Niccolai. We are talking about the numerical control of ungulates and problematic species: Niccolai emphasized the management of protected areas. These areas where scheduled hunting is not possible are likely to become a continual source of problems in the event of missed interventions. An emblematic example is that of the Padule, in the Pistoiese, a minimally protected area where hunting is allowed only occasionally.
The wild boar is present in a massive way and the operators who can oppose it are very few, without forgetting the few evenings a week when they are called in. In the wetland there is repetitive damage, with the need to reimburse farmers for the damage suffered. The recent sentence of the Constitutional Court against the containment of wild boar in Liguria it is not seen as a positive novelty, even if for the moment it does not concern Tuscany, despite the risk of a "spread like wildfire".
Above all, there is a risk of making it impossible to contrast the proliferation of wild boar, deer, fox and nutria in faunal institutes, consequently Niccolai's question represents an interesting starting point. Finally, the regional councilor was invited by the two hunting associations to remove the obstacles that prevent the management of animal populations on 100% of the agro-forestry-pastoral territory.
