The presence of wild animals in province of Biella has triggered more than one alarm, so much so that requests are increasing Piedmont region to perfect the abatement plan. It is not only the wild boars that cause concern, as highlighted by theTerritorial area of hunting and from the Alpine District. Only in the last year has the census registered 450 roe deer in the plains, even if the number of copies calculated represents just one third of the actual ones.
The Alpine area of the Piedmontese province revealed the presence of at least 300 specimens, which is equivalent to saying that in this territory there are almost 2500 roe deer, probably many more. According to theHigher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA)however, they can be broken down 350 ungulates in the plains and another 230 in the mountains, a number defined too low by the local hunting world, especially in light of the incidents that are occurring and repeating.
ATC recalled that last year 243 roe deer were found injured or dead after one collision with a car or a motorcycle. New solutions are therefore expected to concretely respond to the emergency.
