Support for European hunters
The first meeting between the Secretariat of the European Parliament took place on Tuesday 10 September at the European Parliament.Biodiversity, hunting & Country Side intergroup and the elected members of the new legislature interested in supporting the European hunting world. The Lega group joined the meeting, which opened with the theme “Dialogue on the future of the European countryside: Sustainable land use, hunting and nature conservation”, led by MEP Juan Ignacio Zoido and organised in collaboration with the European Federation for Hunting and Conservation (FACE) and the European Landowners' Organisation (ELO).
The importance of representativeness
In reference to the importance of the representativeness of the hunting and biodiversity intergroup, the MEP of the Northern League Anna Maria Cisint also intervened, who in her note intended to highlight the following: "Even before the electoral campaign I made a commitment to support and defend the Italian hunting world by signing a declaration presented to me by the territorial hunting associations".
A change of attitude
"Today I not only reiterate the commitment I made as a member of the intergroup, but I also want to highlight the fact that there must necessarily be a change of attitude from Brussels: the Mediterranean hunting tradition must be defended today more than ever, as it is constantly subjected to the constraints of the key concepts and the limiting directions of the European Commission. Precisely for this reason, I hope that the new board of the intergroup can express an Italian presidency". (Source Press Office Hon. CISINT)
