After the increase in traffic accidents caused by wildlife in province of Trento, the councilor Nerio Giovanazzi he turned to the Provincial Council to ask for new compensation in favor of motorists. According to a 1991 law, later repealed by the 2015 Budget Law, the Autonomous Province paid more than anything else a indemnification: now the local authority will no longer compensate motorists involved in accidents involving wild boar, roe deer, chamois and deer.
However, there will be full reimbursement in the event of the administration's responsibility, a fault that must be proven by the damaged motorist, as provided for by thearticle 2043 of the Civil Code. The province of Trentino has already determined in an objective way how dense the phenomenon of investment by ungulates is, consequently no action is ever taken after reports that are not verifiable with objective data. Furthermore, the councilor Giovanazzi wanted to know which are the road sections in which the reflectors for ungulates are installed, the cost of which (including the luminous signs) is approximately 200mila euros.
