Italcaccia Veneto expresses its disappointment: "Just criminalize hunters and the Veneto Region immediately apply the exceptions".
We are tired of witnessing the anti-hunting and denigrating crusade against hunters and hunting in derogation, implemented for several days in the Venetian newspapers by the euro parliamentarian Zanoni who has nothing better to do, with all the problems that Italian citizens experience every day, than wasting time and money on a subject where it cannot be impartial given its belonging to the anti-hunting league.
Hunting in derogation in the Veneto is possible given the European regulations that allow to safeguard the habits, customs and traditions of the member states, as already apply other countries that see hunting as a fundamental resource in wildlife and environmental management and in the prevention of damage to agriculture without some prejudices.
We remind you that hunters are citizens with immaculate criminal records and not criminals, highly respectable people who are entitled to duties but also rights that cannot be trampled on a daily basis by Zanoni or by anyone on his behalf.
We ask the president of the region, Luca Zaia, to urgently proceed with the approval of the provision on hunts in derogation, not giving in to absurd and unjustified blackmail by subjects, often incompetent on the subject who present themselves as champions of the environment, instead of fighting the real causes of destruction of the territory and fauna, such as pollution, overbuilding and deforestation of the countryside; it is much more dramatic and impactful to attack hunting and criminalize hunters.
Italcaccia asks the Region for a firm response, with facts, on exceptions, to give certainty to all hunter citizens who ask, after having paid handsomely taxes and concessions, to be able to practice their passion serenely.
