Again IWA made its roar heard loud and clear. As Italians we are forced to swallow the bitter morsel, we definitely let the organization of the most important fair of the old continent slip out from under our noses. We, the country of excellence in the field of weaponry we must admit that the trade fair capital of the sector is Nuremberg. The numbers leave no doubt, the 43esima The IWA edition saw 1.455 exhibitors represented from around 120 countries and 45.000 specialized visitors, the fair is in fact not open to the public except for the last day, so it is only operators in the sector, really coming from all over the world. The event took place using over 10 huge pavilions overflowing with anything that can come to mind relating to the subject of the fair for a total area of 95.000 m². As if all this were not enough, the date and tickets for the next edition are already available: from 3 to 6 March 2017. They are truly German!
The fair, as usual, saw the best of the best that the sector can offer, each manufacturing company reserves this appointment to present the news and its leading products.
In the previous pieces you can always find on the portal of Passion hunting we have already mentioned the novelty that they had gradually noticed while wandering around the stands of the producers.
In conclusion, wanting to summarize what, as far as our sector is concerned, appeared to be the most significant innovations, we can say:
Swarovski brought the new range of Z8i riflescopes.
Blaser presented the new over-and-under F16 in the hunting and sporting version.
Browning opens the luxury section with the new and elegant Jho departmentn M. Browning collection and comes with a B15 over / under in 4 versions. Another important novelty is the A5 semiautomatic in 16 gauge.
rizzini celebrates 50 years of activity and celebrates them with a celebratory over-under in a limited version, the Anniversay round body in two versions.
Benelli focuses on the Argo E Battue dedicated to wild boar hunting.
Beretta through Sako presents the new Tikka T3X.
La Verney Carron invented the rifle that "gets stuck", designed for countries where the use of semi-automatic rifles is prohibited, the French company has brought out a gas recovery rifle which, however, leaves the bolt open at each shot and must be reset by means of a manually operated lever. In short, in this way the prohibition is circumvented while remaining a rifle with a very fast manual reset, without having to remove the hands and the line of sight to recapture the ammunition.
Obviously this description of some of the novelties that struck us is completely partial. During this year we will analyze, as usual, everything that was presented in Nuremberg and case by case we will present the new products, perhaps even having the opportunity to test them and verify their use.
At the moment we just have to congratulate the German organization for having created a fair that can rightfully compete with the most important events worldwide.
