Hunting - Marche Hunting Calendar:
After the pre-opening on September 2nd, the 'season' will officially open on 20th and will close on 31st January. Councilor Paolo Petrini: "We are approaching a gradual stabilization of the calendar"
The calendar of the 2009/10 hunting season has been approved by the regional council of the Marche. A pre-opening is scheduled for September 2nd for some game species, but the official opening is set for September 20th and closes on January 31st. Wild boar can be killed from 18 October until 17 January. You can choose three out of five allowed days, with an advance of hunting on Wednesday 27 September, Sunday 30 and Saturday 3 October.
In January, it will be allowed hunting on 20, 24 and 30. The sedentary species, such as hare, pheasant, gray partridge and rock partridge, can only be hunted on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Another novelty concerns the stalking of migratory game (from 1 October to 30 November, for another two days a week, excluding Tuesdays and Fridays) which will also be allowed in pre-opening (2-5-6 September).
There will be an obligation to carry out temporary shelters only with artificial material, reaching the station with the weapon unloaded and occupying it no earlier than twelve hours from the start of the hunting activity. The vice president of the regional council and councilor for hunting Paolo Petrini intervenes on the question.
“We are approaching a progressive stabilization of the hunting calendar, in terms of days and huntable species. This year, wild boar hunting has been extended to three days before opening and three days after closing, to prevent the risk of further damage to agricultural crops in that period ”.
