Il Montemarcelo-Magra-Vara Park, a Ligurian natural area located in the province of La Spezia, has organized a selective killing of wild boars Through the turn technique. The appointment is scheduled for Friday 3 November, starting at 7:30 am and until the end of the operation. The location of the sampling is Figarole, to be precise a Lerici.
Furthermore, it must be emphasized that these culls are an integral part of the wild boar control plan in this regional park. The latter includes the Caprione promontory, the lower course of the Magra river and the lower and middle course of the Vara river. Incidentally, just a week ago it was discovered that two wild boars were killed in the area full of pesticides.
In practice, the ungulates had swallowed bromadiolone, usually used to kill rodents, to the point of becoming toxic and harmful. Fortunately, these wild ones have not been cooked, although usually in parks the meats are assigned to those who participate in the jokes and Liguria does not impose health checks, as is the case in other regions of our country.
