La breeding season is ongoing for many species of waterfowl, the permanent hunting lakes located in many Italian regions, they offer exceptional nesting opportunities to many species that otherwise would not have suitable places. No one can doubt that in the absence of hunters these oases of biodiversity would not exist and instead of lakes there would be fields, or worse, industrial warehouses.
Today is the turn of a stakeout located in the Marche region, in the province of Pesaro-Urbino, where there are many pairs of coots of which you can admire the chicks moving on the water, together with a colony of knights of Italy.
To these visible species are added the moorhens, the water rails and all the passerines of reeds, which find in these environments the islands of humid habitat in an agricultural context without natural marshes. Hunters confirm their commitment to Nature and Biodiversity. Hunting lakes are environments that enrich our territory with naturalness, at no cost to public bodies.
