On Saturday, November 15, a national conference on “The large mammals in the Central Apennines will be held in Caramanico, in the province of Pescara. State of knowledge, conservation programs, perspectives of coexistence with anthropic activities ".
The initiative is organized by the Municipality of Caramanico, the State Forestry Corps and the Majella Park Authority with the collaboration of Legambiente and the support of Majambiente. It will be an intense day of work during which, on the basis of specific reports, it will be possible to deepen the problems inherent in the management of the wolf, the Marsican brown bear, the otter, the Apennine chamois, the boar.
Particular attention will be devoted to the management of ungulates in the central Apennines and to the issues of illegality and hunting ethics. A focus will be dedicated to “Fauna and anthropogenic activities. Coexistence strategies, institutional skills, planning and regulatory perspectives. Criticality analysis starting from the case of the Marsican brown bear “.
