The Contribution of the Institution
We report below the latest press release from Dino Muto, president of theENCI: “The RAI 3 FarWest investigative program, directed by Salvo Sottile, on air tonight from 21.20:XNUMX p.m., will broadcast a report on the topic of recent episodes of aggression by some dogs and the actions that must be organized in the territory to avoid such episodes, with sometimes dramatic outcomes. I had the opportunity to provide our contribution, in my capacity as President of the ENCI, that is to say of the institution that, thanks to the work of the Specialized Associations, the Dog Groups and its Breeders, is now considered at all levels the point of reference for the world of dog breeding”.
Selection activities
“During the interview I highlighted the effective action developed by ENCI, which places the balance of dogs registered in the Genealogical Book at the center of the selection activity. I also underlined the effectiveness of the pre-screening tests developed with the University of Milan and organized for years during numerous ENCI events. Tests useful for understanding the adaptability of each dog in the urban and city context. A path at the end of which the subjects actually at risk can be subjected to rehabilitation programs through professionals in the sector”.
The CAE tests
“The proposal we are supporting with the institutions is that these tests, which we at ENCI have known for years as CAE (tests to control the reliability and mental balance of dogs and owners who are good citizens) can be adequately extended to the many crosses of dogs without certificates of origin, while safeguarding the breeding of purebred subjects that are registered in the Genealogical Book and which is characterized by a controlled, transparent supply chain, with training courses and subject to precise regulation decreed by the competent Ministry. In this sense, ENCI is also working on the legislative front”.
