PRESIDENTIAL RESOLUTION N ° 03/22
Given the cases ascertained in the last days of African swine fever (ASF);
considering the note of the Ministry of Health (General Directorate of Animal Health and Veterinary Drugs) of 11 January 2022 concerning: African swine fever: report of the technical meeting of the Ministry, Regions, Cerep, ISPRA and given the limitations contained therein regarding the activities practiced with the help of the dog;
having regard to the decrees issued by the Lombardy and Emilia Romagna Regions which implemented the indications of the Ministry of Health;
considering that these limitations will also apply to Regions directly affected or bordering on Liguria, Piedmont and Tuscany;
considering the references in the administrative acts to the Law 11 February 1992 n. 157 “Rules for the protection of homeothermic wildlife and for hunting sampling";
considering the need to prevent the spread of the infection on the national territory;
given the urgency determined by the technical times
RESOLUTION
to suspend the ratifications of the tests already approved by ENCI until a date to be decided, starting from the date of this resolution, for the following types of zootechnical checks provided for in the Regions Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna e Toscana:
• Trials for Followed breeds
• Classic for pointing breeds
• Hunting on natural game for pointing breeds
• Hunt for Cirnechi dell'Etna
• Hunting for Spaniels
• Hunt for Retrievers
• Hunting for Dachshunds and Terriers
• Track, surface and retrieve hunting;
• Rescue dogs on the surface
• Amateur coursing
• IGP track tests for utility and defense breeds
• Truffle hunting for Lagotto Romagnolo
• Dog tests on sheep on open ground
participants in the types of tests listed above organized in the remaining Regions, if coming from Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany, must adhere to the Protocol for the disinfestation of means of transport defined by the ENCI, in order to prevent the spread of ASF in other Regions (The President Dino Muto).
