Recovery a species declared extinct in nature in our country, thus contributing to the protection of Italian biodiversity and the care of natural landscape; provide a highly strategic contribution to the practices of reintroduction in kind of partridge in Europe, also for the benefit of other endangered species, with consequent advantages for related sectors such as tourism, the quality agri-food production and canine zootechnical selection.
These are the objectives of the Life Perdix, the European project that aims at the recovery of the Italian gray partridge through genetic selection and the reintroduction of a viable population in the Mezzano Valley, carried out with the contribution of the Life tool of the European Union and the Natura 2000 network, which Tuesday 26 November will be presented to Ferrara, at the provincial council room of the Estense Castle from 11 am to 13 pm.
