Among the latest resolutions approved by Lombardy region there is a very interesting one concerning the changes to the regional regulation 16/2003 on the protection of wildlife and the protection of the environmental balance, in addition to discipline of hunting.
The text in question provides for the deletion of the maximum magnification limit for rifle scopes. Until now, it was impossible to go beyond 12 enlargements and the modification was necessary for a very specific reason.
According to the resolution, hunting in this manner would be safer, with hunters not being forced to getting too close to the wild, without forgetting the greater accuracy of the shot in complex environments. Incidentally, the minimum length limit of the barrel of carbines has dropped from 50 to 45 centimeters, a reduction motivated by the technical adaptation to sporting rifles.
