Floriano Massardi, regional councilor of the League and president of the 'Agriculture, mountains and forests' Commission of the Lombardy Region, commented on his recent appointment as Lombardy's head of wildlife management and hunting for the League.

I would like to point out to Mr. Floriano Massardi, as the head of the hunting sector, a situation that is nothing short of unworthy: the Provinces are given out a lot of money to fight wild boar, we hunters who would like to contribute to this battle, spending a lot of money on equipment, expensive donations to the districts, a lot of money to participate in training courses and then find ourselves faced with an incomprehensible bureaucratic brick wall! For a question, you are sent back to the next exam and you have to wait a month to appear for the next one, well from November 2024 the next session will probably be in April (?) so months (five) and not one... someone should understand that WE hunters are doing a great job for the Region and the Province and it would be enough not to be continually hindered on the training path. People over sixty (and don't call them old) who have been hunting wild boar for 40 years, find it difficult to go back to school, to memorize a lot of useless information... safety on the use of weapons and treatment of carcasses…that's enough…who cares about knowing that the wild boar has 44 teeth?To establish the age?By now it has been slaughtered and with the PSA emergency we go all year round and thanks to these doors slammed in their faces, there are many who go there anyway and shoot not only bristly ones, but also deer and co. -If someone would take the trouble to read these lines and remedy it, it would be a good and right thing…Thanks.
