A difficult battle
A drop in a sea of solidarity, but a choice that once again demonstrates the closeness of hunters to the problems of the territory. The protagonists are the hunters of the Federcaccia section of Sarnico, who wanted to make their concrete help felt by the family of Nicolò, a 4-year-old boy from Villongo, who is fighting, at such a young age, his most difficult battle against a rare head cancer (glioma), a difficult moment that has tested not only his strength but that of his entire family.
Fundraiser
The hunters donated 500 euros to the little boy's family by participating in the online fundraiser: the hope for these parents is to support the treatment in Rome, but to do so it was necessary to ask for help. The hunters of Sarnico responded "present" for a fundraiser that reached and exceeded 90 thousand euros, a sea of solidarity that precisely with a small drop has seen the world of hunting in the front row again.
Bird Fair
It is not the first time that the hunters of Sarnico have been the protagonists of similar gestures, thanks in particular to the "profit" derived from the historic Bird Fair, which takes place on the shores of Lake Iseo every August. After having contributed to the realities of the Sarnico area, especially for the little ones, this time the hunters' thoughts were for this little fighter: during the year the reference point remains the August festival for the Sarnico section with specific training events dedicated to the capannisti (source: Federcaccia).
