The figure of Don Sigurani
Angelo Reali, who inherited the mission of Don Pietro Sigurani, and Geronimo Cardia, regional representative, welcomed the donation of the Safari Club International Italian Chapter. Important gesture of solidarity in Rome thanks to the donation of 500 portions of wild boar, about 60Kg, made in favor of the mission always carried out by the late Don Pietro Sigurani of the Basilica of Sant'Eustachio. The "soup kitchen of poor friends", which moved last year to the church of San Francesco Saverio in via del Caravita and provides 90 meals a day.
A constant impegno
The Casa “Gli Amici di Don Pietro”, in addition, in the headquarters of via di Panico, every week on average distributes 180/200 breakfasts, allows 130 showers and carries out 20/25 washes with the washing machine. This donation is part of the humanitarian and charitable activities that the Italian Chapter of the SCI, organizes and supports, in Italy and abroad, within the framework of its institutional activities and is among the solidarity actions planned for 2024.
The SCI Italian Chapter
The Italian Chapter is a direct dependency of the Safari Club International, a non-profit association that was founded in the USA in 1971 and today has more than 50.000 members in the USA and around the world. Among the institutional purposes of the defense of the right to exercise hunting, the conservation of wildlife and the environment in which it lives throughout the world, there are educational activities aimed at young people and the implementation of conservation and humanitarian projects for which it has invested several tens of millions of dollars over the last twenty years.
