Participation Award
The Board of Directors held today, September 9, the first meeting (in telematic and in person) upon the resumption of national and international activity after the holding of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which brought considerable satisfaction to the shooting Italian with the conquest of three medals (one silver and two bronzes) and a fully convincing performance by all 13 Olympic and Paralympic athletes involved. Precisely in consideration of the brilliant results obtained, the Board of Directors has approved the expenditure of € 130.000,00 as a participation and performance bonus to be divided into equal amounts among all the members of the technical staff who participated in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. “A fair reward – explained the President of UITS, Costantino Vespasiano – for the great work done by the technicians and the staff. We have brought to France a young, cohesive and enthusiastic team that gives us excellent prospects for the future”.
Three-year framework agreement
The Board of Directors also approved the signing of the three-year Framework Agreement with Società Sport e Salute SpA, which has as its object the promotion, organization and management of sporting events, the design and management of sports facilities, the technical operational support aimed at the Federation, training for projects of high social value (well-being, health and lifestyles, enhancement of equal opportunities and inclusion through sport, the development of the Census of sports facilities, digital innovation).
PSF ISSF 2024
As regards sports activities, the text of the PSF ISSF 2024 was approved, with changes regarding the admission criteria for the Italian 300m championships: a ranking will be generated without distinction of category based on the sum of the 2 best scores achieved in the 4 events. The PSF 2024 “Paralympic Competitions-WSPS / IPC” was also approved. As regards administrative measures, the first variation to the 2024 Budget Forecast was approved for an amount equal to € 2.208.971,00, in addition to the allocation of the second tranche of the activity fund for the benefit of the regional and provincial committees of the UITS for a total of € 199.350,00 (source: UITS).
