Hunting is tradition, history of our territory and has always belonged to our cultural heritage. I can only applaud the response produced by the hunters and promoters of the initiative Luca, Stefano and Nicoló, who freely joined together to reply, clearly indignant at what happened. Furthermore, the manifesto demonstrates, once again, how certain allegations of violence, which are regularly delivered to the hunting world, do not belong to you in the least. On the one hand, animal welfare organizations attack with their heads down, comparing hunters to murderers; the hunters reply by decreasing the tones, inviting to dialogue and confrontation. “Don't hate what you don't know” is a perfect slogan.
Hunters have always carried out an activity in favor of the environment, wooded areas and their conservation, helping to keep the ecosystem intact, to the benefit of flora and fauna. This is the aspect that the associations that fight hunting practices try in every way to hide. It is easier for them to spread visually striking images like blood-dripping hands. In fact, for too long the offenses and sometimes, alas, even the aggressions, have become quite common against hunters.
The comparison and presentation of opinions and positions other than the "parlor" animalist narrative is often the cause of insults and threats. Therefore, I can only express my solidarity with the hunters and applaud the media initiative they have decided to undertake: informing about the value of hunting and its conservation is very important. Personally I will continue to work in favor of the protection of this very important tradition of our territory, against any unjustified attack ".
